Maintenance of Lakes and Water Bodies
Halagevaderahalli Lake
In the year of 2013, Trust members formed a pressure group to get Halagevaderahalli (HVH) lake rejuvenation started and then, keep it going. From the outset, the members were actively involved in all activities relating to the rejuvenation from reviewing the DPR to co-ordinating between various government departments and sub-divisions. Once the project began in 2013, it took about 2.5 years to complete the work, and during this period, the Trust members were constantly involved in every stage of the rejuvenation work.

Bheemankatte Lake
In the year 2016, the Trust was instrumental in stopping encroachment over Bheemankatte (BK) Lake and in getting its rejuvenation started. With the support of Apartment dwellers adjacent to BK Lake, the Trust was able to report the encroachments in time to Uplokayukta and bring it to a stop at its initial stages. After several requests made to BBMP, BDA and KFD, BBMP came forward to own the project and Honorary MP Smt. B. Jayashree graciously agreed to provide a part of the MP fund to sponsor the project. The rejuvenation work was completed in 2018 and the Trust has since been constantly involved in the lake’s maintenance.

2015
- HVH Lake Rejuvenation completes to large extent
- Tree Plantation in HVH Lake Premises
- Engaged over 60 students 20 hours each in various community service activities including campaign against immersion of Ganesha idol in lakes, reaching out to Govt School children, Waste Management awareness sessions
2016
- World Water Day Event – Water march followed by tree planting at HVH lake
- HVH Lake premises cleaning event with help of RSS volunteers
- Bheemankatte Lake Rejuvenation begins
- Engaged over 90 students in various community service activities
2017
- Bheemankatte Lake Rejuvenation continues
- Tree plantation at Bheemanakatte Lake – Kere Haadu
- Tree planting event at HVH Lake with chief guest Golden Star Ganesh
2018
- Multiple Street Tree Plantation drives
- Over 5000 saplings planted in Turahalli
- Turahalli water hole for animals
- Promoting concept of Organic Terrace Garden (OTG)
- Bheemanakatte Lake Rejuvenation completes and maintenance taken over by Trust Volunteers
2019
- Waste Management Awareness sessions
- Plastic Beda Campaign – ‘Rent a Bag’ program launch
- OTG completes 1 year
- Cycle Day on 3rd Sunday of every month
- Seed Ball preparation & seed sowing in Turahalli & BM Kaval
- 1km stretch of Turahalli wall painted by residents

- Online awareness programs for residents, students of institutes like RNSIT and Ammanni college.
2023
- Organized clothes collection drive in association with Hasirudalah to repurpose it into bags.
- Distribution of bags at Kadlekai Parishe.

- Planting drive at Elephant Corridor on Kanakpura road.
